Gingerbread oatmeal / Winter edition

Good morning my lovelies, today's recipe is going to be all about oats. I have been a huge oatmeal fan for the last couple of years. Probably three years ago I started to eat oats for breakfast and especially in winter I liked to try out new oatmeal-recipes. The day before I craved oats for dinner and then it occurred to me that I could make a gingerbread inspired oatmeal. I grabbed some spices and conjured up such good food. The recipe is so easy to make and the result is just overwhelming. You have to know, that I often don't give quantity specification simply because I do everything by feel and I think some people need less, some more ...So it is up to you how much you make...Okay, let's start!

What you need:
-oats
-water (or almond milk)
-a half of a Nutmeg
-2-3 dessertspoon cinnamon
-ginger (thumb's width)

How to:
First warm up the oats on low flame, and of course  the water. Mix the ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon together and give then this substance to the oats. Finally, cut the apple in small pieces and give it to the oats. Let me tell you one thing, it tastes so good and especially so christmassy. If you try it out, let me know. See you soon!

xx Valerie

  1. Yummey! It even tastes better if you already put the apples into the pot while cooking as well, this leads to a caramally-taste haha:)
